COULD I just say that I have become increasingly concerned by the amount of debris that seems to gather at the public park in Lochgelly.

The amount of plastic and broken glass in the public park is something which never seems to go away.

The skate park area and surroundings are regularly a problem and the shelter at the football pitch seems to be a hang-out place for youngsters and I have found myself calling council every week at least to report smashed glass and plastic bottles and bins not being emptied.

The broken glass is particularly unfortunate as it causes danger to any person or animal.

I know that the shelter has had its problems in the past as a sort of night time gathering spot for kids and that is something which brings with it its own problems.

There has been a lot of money spent on upgrading the public park with the MUGA and skatepark and it is disappointing to see unnecessary debris take the shine off it.

PARK USER,

Lochgelly.
