DICK Campbell and his team that has created the sensory garden at the Lindsay House Care Village, in Lumphinnans, should be soundly congratulated.

The garden is large and well put together and will be much liked by those who are suffering from dementia and those who are not.

The work that was put in to raise the money for the fund was really unbelievable. Dinners, golf days and persuading people simply to make donations all worked well and Dick's personality helped make the funds gradually build up to a grand sum of I think £60,000.

From the pictures I have seen it looks really impressive and it will be well used by the folk that have dementia and someone that just wants to enjoy being surrounded by the nice flower beds.

Dick has become a real community campaigner and his prominent style makes things happen.

He has the ability to make people get involved and without his influence this magnificent facility might not have happened.

But everyone who made a contribution in any way deserves a big pat on the back.

I bet the management of the Care Village are pleased too with this feature which will help so many of the folk there, whether they be a dementia sufferer or not, it looks an amazing creation and one that will used and enjoyed for many years.

So well done Dick and his supporters, a great facility.

IMPRESSED,
