ALEX ROWLEY is totally correct that something has to be done to get the mess at Lathalmond cleared up.

I had forgotten about this situation but when I think that the site at Lathalmond has the likes of the the Bus Museum it really does not need to be hindered by the mess that the old carpets have made.

Alex has raised this issue many times over recent years but still the mess remains.

Your story suggested that there are almost 7,000 tonnes of waste sitting on the site and has been for longer than folk can remember.

It has to be causing quite a smell and surely it is a public hazard.

Considering that our village is just a couple of miles from this mess it surely is something that has to be sorted.

It looks like Alex has found himself being unable to get any support to get the mess sorted.

There has to be a groundswell of backing for him from Fife Councillors who surely want to see the likes of this potentially fine site cleared up.

If Alex does not get the right sort of support this mess could stay on the site for a long time.

It is surely in everyone’s interest to literally ‘get this mess sorted out as soon as possible’ and hopefully Alex will get the support he needs to get this sorted out as soon as possible.
