I HAVE written directly to whatever Lochgelly Gala Committee is as I read another letter in the Times as the questions asked in a previous letter were ignored by no reply.

I would thank the committee for an invite to a meeting but as I explained I am unable to attend so that is why I made my and some of the public’s concerns as to what funds, given by the public in donations to the gala committee, is spent on.

Surely a simple answer through the local paper is sensible so that the people who donate money, hard earned by many, can judge if it is being spent ‘wisely’.

Many like myself cannot but only support in that way. Why so coy at giving out information then.

Why not take on board some points made, and give other premises the chance to hold the gala committee meetings or take part in fundraising events, not just to make profits but to give back to the community freely.

So what about it, please answer, also knowing who makes up the committee would be nice to know.

A MASON,

Lochgelly.

PS, this is not a personal matter it is answers that everyone should be able to know.
