FULL backing has to go to Benarty Community Council for making a stance against fly-tipping.

The pictures in last week's Times really were appalling and I just do not know how people can do something like that.

Fly-tipping near a country park is one thing but only a few yards from a Recycling Centre is beyond belief.

I just wish these sort of people could be caught by the authorities for they need to be made an example of.

That might just persuade people not to undertake these sort of activities which make a mess of the countryside.

I would believe that the folk that dumped that building rubbish will have come from way outwith the area.

Rather than dump it on their own back door they have come to Benarty to get rid of it.

That is shameful and something that should be made very public.

The Cycle Track also does not deserve to get this sort of treatment and I must say that I have seen rubble and other building rubbish dumped off the B920 before, probably last year.

So lets hope that these folk who carried out this disgraceful act have left something that the council can find them through and make sure everyone knows who they are.
