I WOULD like people to know about the crazy world of Cowdenbeath High Street.

I was driving north on High Street on Saturday January 5 at lunchtime when I came across a huge queue of traffic on Bridge Street.

Immediately it went through my mind there might be temporary lights somewhere up ahead ahead.

We edged towards the Fountain bit by bit and there they were just about level with Kassy's Kitchen.

That was bad enough, what I did not realise was the havoc that the Pelican crossing was causing working in harmony with the temporary lights.

On two occasions traffic coming south through the tempos were stopped through the crossing and our green opportunity came and went without us moving a wheel forward.

This was so very frustrating for us and a huge queue behind and of course the same was happening for some of those heading south.

You thought how is this being allowed to happen. No organisation and relying on the law of the jungle to keep traffic moving on one of Fife's busiest High Street roads.

Perhaps someone could offer some way of avoiding this in the future.
