2019 is going to be a big year on the railways.

There is no doubt that this is going to be something which will be a prominent subject in the Scottish Parliament.

Now anyone who has used the Fife Circle recently will be aware of the concerns that have been aired by the likes of our own MSP, Annabelle Ewing and the Mid Scotland and Fife reps Alex Rowley and Claire Baker.

Late or cancelled trains are a way of life and it has not really been getting any better, despite words of comfort from ScotRail.

Such has been the stir the Scottish Government too have been airing their total concern.

It is unlikely that too much is going to change in the early part of the year so I would think that it will be making headlines on the national news and in the Times.

The train company keeps saying that things are going to get a whole lot better but we are probably going to have to wait for a good while until things hit the upward curve.

But meanwhile the charges are to go up and the customers will not be in the mood for patience.

So while no doubt Brexit will be dominating the UK headlines the rail situation will certainly be one which will demand attention.

RAILER,

Cardenden.
