WHAT is the world and justice system coming to, for a matter of fact.

It has just come to my attention that a man has just been sentenced to 300 hours of unpaid work and banned for ten years for killing a young father of two in Kirkcaldy by overtaking when he should not have.

This young father was out for a cycle on his bike and had as much right as any driver to be on the road.

Although it will live with this man for the rest of his life, as per the family of the deceased, who will be living a life sentence.

I thought I would put my tuppence worth in because I walk the back road from Kirkcaldy often and something similar happened to me, except I was walking.

I was nearly clipped by some would-be racer, who would be more suited to Lochgelly Raceway or Knockhill, because the driver decided to overtake through impatience and the driver in front not going fast enough for their liking.

Set your alarm for earlier for God's sake or some other innocent person is going to be killed leaving a family behind, whether it be a cyclist, runner or walker, who have as much right as drivers to be on the road.
