THE Fife Times recently featured what a remarkable park Lochore Meadows is.

Councillors visiting and giving it a four star rating with local people taking great scenic pictures.

But what the park manager is not showing us is the other side of the park.

They came and felled trees in the residential area of St Ronans Crescent, in Crosshill, over a year ago, leaving a devastated mess.

It is now overgrown by five foot weeds which are now spreading their seeds, so the residents cannot open their windows or doors as it looks like it is constantly snowing.

How the bikers find this track I just don't know.

When the trees were felled, which was around 500 of them or more they said they would be replaced, but so far we have had 50 twigs which schoolchildren planted.

Fences are still broken and have never been repaired as promised at meetings with Ali Dreyer from the park.

The residents and I sent a petition and emails to the council, Mary Lockhart, and park boss Ian Laing, but to no avail.

It seems that no one cares or is it the old saying that comes to mind, out of sight out of mind.

Maybe next time Mr Laing you should bring visitors to our street and let them see how nice it is here.
