I KNOW that paper can take on anything but the amount of verbal manure it absorbed was amazing.

An MSP had the audacity to say 'These people who have put their lives on the line for the sake of our country, surely they deserve better treatment than this.'

This is the sort of garbage we vets expect from a person who blocked my phone number when I asked for help!

Then lo and behold Fife Council appointed the Armed Forces Community Champion. Then the ex-marine quoted 'the community covenant is about ensuring we look look after the welfare of our armed forces-and their families-once they retire or if they are obliged to leave active service due to injury'.

'I look forward to working with other elected members to ensure we offer ex-forces personnel the fullest support possible.'

Once again I thought help was nigh, so I spoke to him on the phone and told him my problems.

He said he would look into it and get back to me. I left several messages but heard nothing, that was months ago.

So is anyone surprised veterans get depressed! These people should not hold a position of authority.
