I SAW in last week's Times that the Meedies is to be used for two big events coming up.

It really is a facility that is becoming more and more popular.

Certainly the weather that has been served up this summer has been brilliant for the park and hopefully the event for disabled people and the young people's day will get decent conditions.

I think that this has to be a record year for the country park as there has been so many good sunny weekends which are a natural draw.

Then there has been some big events and a lot more to come including Rockore and Bark in the Park.

The park is looking at its best now with its new visitor centre and it is sure to continue to be busy between now and the autumn.

The council must be very happy with their decision to go ahead with the visitor centre and while I was a little uncertain at the way the drawings looked, it certainly has been better in real life.

The more the event come and are successful the more other organisations might look at it as a venue they could use.

So even if the weather aint as good next summer there still could be a big turn out of folk in 2019.
