THE fact that this weekend's Rockore music festival is a sell-out is another tribute to the committed work of Benarty Events Group.

There will be 3,500 music fans at Lochore Meadows Country Park this weekend which will be an amazing sight and success.

2019 so far has again seen BEG make great strides forward in making things happen in Benarty.

The success of the Meedies Pipe Band Competition, in June, with bands coming to the competition from all over the world was outstanding, then a week later came Gala Day.

Only it was not a normal Gala Day due to the portable toilets at the park being set on fire.

But through support from local business people they were able to get replacements and it was business as usual and a great day was had.

So the sell-out of Rockore is another chapter in BEG's success story and an example of what can be done with people who are committed to a community.

The support they get for the Benarty Community Lottery is amazing and shows how much the people of Glencraig, Lochore, Crosshill and Ballingry appreciate the work they do.

Hopefully the weather gods will be kind to Rockore and a great day will take place on Saturday at the Meedies and then BEG will turn their attention to their festive plans.
