THE local members of the Scottish Parliament are quite right to be airing their concern about the service currently being offered by ScotRail on the Fife Circle.
An awful lot of people use Cardenden, Lochgelly and Cowdenbeath railway stations to commute to work in Edinburgh, and too often have found themselves frustrated by either a delay or a cancellation.
Now if it happens once in a blue moon that is something most people can contend with, but if it is happening twice a month or worse it is not easy for people to explain to their employers how they are late for work.
Cowdenbeath MSP Annabelle Ewing and MSP for Mid Scotland and Fife, Alex Rowley, have been keeping at it asking ScotRail management for an increase in the quality and reliability of service and with rail prices rising on January 1 the time for change has surely come.
