LOCHGELLY Old Folks Reunion Treat committee did brilliantly yet again to ensure that the festive treat for the town's over seventies event went ahead without a hitch.

The committee were absolutely right, however, to make an appeal for some help.

The Reunion Committee has been organising the summer drives and old folks treats for many decades and some of the members are very long servers.

But like any voluntary group, from time to time they need new people to help the success continue.

They would welcome people who have a few spare hours available to join them and help continue the success story that is the Reunion Committee.

It is not an arduous task just one that from time to time needs people to seek backing from local businesses and organisations such as the 4Winds Trust to give the events important financial backing.

Without doubt even one extra hand would help the committee and if it was three that came forward even better, and hopefully there are people out there in the town who can offer their help.

If you can help just get in touch with Reunion Committee secretary Margaret Blaikie who would be delighted to hear from you.
