MP Douglas Chapman is urging support for the Smalls for All campaign.

The Crossgates, Hill of Beath and Moss-side MP, and Councillor Fay Sinclair are welcoming donations of gently worn bras and new pants for Scottish charity, Smalls For All, which collects and distributes underwear to help women and children in Africa.

The MP for Dunfermline West said as people reflect on how far we've come in Scotland in terms of equality and women's rights - with further still to travel - it is worth remembering that women around the world still face significant challenges, and providing the basics such as underwear can make a huge difference to some women's lives.

Councillor Fay Sinclair said: “I have been overwhelmed by the support for this charity drive since I launched it on International Women’s Day.

"Thanks to the generosity of local donations and support from Douglas Chapman MP’s office we’ve collected more than 60 bras and 100 new pairs of pants to be sent to women and children in developing countries.”

Mr Chapman, who represents Dunfermline & West Fife, and his staff have set up a collection point at Dunfermline Advice Hub (situated on 7 Douglas Street and is open weekdays between 10am-4pm) which will run until Friday April 13.
