A 45-year-old man has been charged after a police chase through Glenrothes following a crash on Sunday morning.
Police were called to Bruce Road at around 7.45am on September 6, after a Vauxhall Mokka collided with a lamp post and fence.
Officers said the vehicle drove off as they approached, leading to a pursuit.
The car was later stopped by police on Leslie Road.
The driver was taken to hospital for treatment before being arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He was due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Tuesday, September 8.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45am on Sunday, September 6, a Vauxhall Mokka collided with a lamp post and fence on Bruce Road, Glenrothes.
“As officers approached, the vehicle made off and a pursuit took place until the car was brought to a stop by officers in Leslie Road and the driver, a 45-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment.
“He was arrested and subsequently charged in connection and is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Tuesday, September 8.”
