Cardenden’s St Ninian’s RC Primary School is marking its 100th year with events involving pupils past and present.
Those who formerly worked there are also invited to take part in the centenary celebrations, which will get underway this month.
On Tuesday, September 15, children and staff will choose a decade to dress in the style of.
Over the past two terms, the former have been learning about the ways that life has changed during its lifespan.
The following day is when those who used to attend have been invited to a special mass led by archbishop Leo Cushley. In the evening the building will be open so that everyone who wishes will have a chance to walk the halls once again.
They’ll be able to view displays created by current students and see how the institution has changed since its opening in 1926.
Thursday, September 17 will see kids enjoy an organised fun day, then parents and carers will attend on the Friday afternoon. Each class has prepared a song, dance or poem inspired by a particular decade.
