Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre has closed again due to a “technical issue”.

The venue posted the news online this morning (Friday) and said that they are currently working to “resolve this as quickly as possible”.

This comes after the centre’s pools had to temporarily close at the end of August, after there was an issue with the roof.

Posting on Facebook, the centre said: “Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre is currently closed due to a technical issue. We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible and hope to reopen soon.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding.

“Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for updates.”

The facility on Pit Road reopened last year after undergoing an £8 million facelift, which included extending the gym area, the swimming pool area being modernised, and the health suite being revitalised with a brand-new sauna and steam room.
