A 43-year-old Kelty man who assaulted his partner has now been jailed.
Stuart McInally, of Moir Court, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court by video-link from prison, having breached an order originally imposed for the offence.
He previously admitted that between June 26 and 30 last year at his home he assaulted his partner by pushing her to the ground and seizing her by the body.
His partner was found to be bruised when police attended a domestic incident in the early hours of the morning.
The court was told that in the early hours of the morning police responded to a ‘dropped’ 999 call.
McInally’s partner answered the door with bruising and swelling to her eye. She said she had been assaulted McInally.
Defence solicitor Stephen Morrison previously said his client’s position was that he had been defending himself from an assault by her but that “he had taken it too far”.
McInally had originally been sentenced to unpaid work but that order was breached. He was also put on a non-harassment order.
Sheriff Krista Johnston jailed McInally for 110 days
