A DISUSED bothy unit previously used by Fife Council workers is set to be demolished.
Members of the Levenmouth Area Committee agreed to contribute £7,500 towards the cost of getting rid of the building at Bishops Court in Kennoway.
Community manager David Paterson said “significant” concerns had been raised about the structure.
“It had been used for serval years as a welfare point for both street cleaning and ground maintenance staff,” he explained.
“The building is in a poor state. It is secured at the moment but there have been times when it has been accessed.”
The estimated cost of the work is likely to be around £15,000 with the other half of the bill being met by the grounds maintenance service.
