A 48-year-old woman has appeared in court in relation to a disturbance in Lochgelly last week.
Police were called to a property in the Foote Street area at about 4.20pm on Wednesday, August 5.
A 33-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
Vicki Farrell, of Fife, appeared in private at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Thursday, August 6, facing a charge of assault to injury.
She made no plea or declaration, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
Proceedings are ongoing. The police statement confirms a 48-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with the reported disturbance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a disturbance within a property in the Foote Street area of Lochgelly around 4.20pm on Wednesday, August 5.
“Officers attended and a 33-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 48-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection and appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Thursday, August 6.”
