A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a disturbance at a property in Lochgelly.

Emergency services were called to Foote Street around 4.20pm yesterday (Wednesday) and police officers remain in the area today.

They confirmed that a 33-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a disturbance within a property in the Foote Street area of Lochgelly around 4.20pm on Wednesday, August 5.

“Officers attended and a 33-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and a police presence remains in the area.”
