A Ballingry woman who spat in the face of a police officer will have to pay him £500 in compensation.
Lisa Stevens, 43, of Kirkland Avenue, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on September 26 last year at her home he repeatedly shouted, swore, made threats of violence towards a female neighbour.
She also assaulted a police constable by spitting on his face.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said there had been “ongoing issues” between Stevens and her neighbour.
At 8.30pm the neighbour could hear loud music coming from Stevens’ home and she banged on the wall for it to be turned down.
The noise continued and the police were called twice within an hour from about 11pm.
On the second occasion, police spoke to Stevens and she became “agitated” saying, “You’re actually talking s***.”
She also threatened the neighbour saying: “I’m going to knock her out”.
After being arrested, she spat on the face of a police officer shouting: “f*** off”.
She continued to make threats about her neighbour saying: “I’m going to get her”.
Defence solicitor Kerr Sneddon said: “This seems to have been an aberration.”
He told the court Stevens receives £2200 a month in benefits.
Sheriff Susan Duff told Stevens her conduct had been “totally unacceptable”. She ordered her to pay £500 compensation.
