A take-away restaurant manager has been banned after smelling of cannabis when the police stopped him.
Abdul Moueed, 23, of Station Road, Lochgelly, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on January 8 on the B981 between Cowdenbeath and Dunfermline, he drove a car when unfit through drink or drugs.
Then at Dunfermline police station he failed to comply with testing procedures by failing to provide a specimen of blood.
He also admitted he was in possession of cannabis.
Depute fiscal Brogan Moffat said that at 3.20am Moueed was stopped by police and could smell cannabis.
He was found to have 40 grams of cannabis in the car with a value of around £320.
The court was told Moueed is manager at the Peri-Licious take-away at Cardenden.
Sheriff Krista Johnston imposed a 14-month driving ban and a £840 fine.
