A person was taken to hospital after a crash in Cowdenbeath.

The incident took place near Cuddyhouse Road yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, July 15).

Two fire engines attended the scene after receiving reports of a car down an embankment and one casualty was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 12.54pm on Wednesday, July 15, to reports of a car down an embankment near to Cuddyhouse Road, Cowdenbeath.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene.

“One casualty was in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call to attend a road traffic collision on Cuddyhouse Road.

“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and transported one patient to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.”
