Fire crews were called to a gorse fire at Lochore Meadows yesterday (Wednesday, July 15).
One fire engine was sent to the scene and the blaze was extinguished.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.14pm on Wednesday, July 15, to reports of gorse on fire at Lochore Meadows, Lochgelly.
“Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance and firefighters extinguished a fire affecting an area of gorse measuring approximately 30 metres by 30 metres.
“There were no reported casualties and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
