Fife Council has issued an update on road closures that are impacting drivers travelling through Cowdenbeath.

Foulford Road will stay closed from High Street to Hill Street until Monday, August 17, due to Scottish Gas Networks carrying out utility works.

For the same reason, Primrose Lane will be off-limits from Monday, July 20, until Thursday, August 20.

During that time a diversion will be in place via Broomfield Road.

On Wednesday, August 5, work will get underway on Perth Road between High Street and Alexander Street.

A statement from the local authority said: “These changes are needed to safely carry out the work and keep traffic moving as much as possible.

“Please plan ahead, allow a bit of extra time for your journey, and follow local signage. Thanks for your patience while this work is carried out.”
