Pupils at Lochgelly West Primary School were celebrated for their achievements in and out of the classroom, as part of a pilot programme that saw them gain the Fife Diploma of Achievement.
The scheme encouraged all P7s to recognise and celebrate their individual achievements, skills and personal growth.
One child achieved his personal award through his commitment to remote control (RC) racing, dedicating countless weekends to developing his driving skills.
Another showed determination by teaching himself to play both the piano and the guitar, whilst one of his peers stepped out of her comfort zone to take on a lead role in the school's annual production.
Depute Headteacher Michelle Tate said: “The Fife Diploma of Achievement is about recognising that success looks different for every child. We wanted our pupils to realise that the skills they develop through hobbies, responsibilities and personal challenges are just as valuable as those they develop in the classroom.
“It has been wonderful to see our pupils reflect on everything they have achieved and recognise just how much they have to be proud of.”
Management believe that the certificate-giving ceremony on Tuesday, June 23 was not only a milestone for the kids, but also the school itself.
