A man and woman have been charged after two police officers were injured during a disturbance in Glenrothes at the weekend.
Emergency services were called to a property on Malcolm Road just before 11am on Saturday, June 27, following reports of an incident.
During the disturbance, two officers were hurt. One was treated at the scene, while the other was taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police confirmed that a 21-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman have since been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
A report will now be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.50am on Saturday, 27 June, 2026, we received a report of a disturbance at a property on Malcolm Road, Glenrothes.
“Two officers were injured as a result of the incident. One was treated at the scene and the other taken to hospital for treatment.
“A man, aged 21 and a woman, aged 43, were arrested and charged in connection and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
