COWDENBEATH are very proud to have a locally based group, who are making a difference to so many lives, as one of their shirt sponsors for the 2026-27 season.
AndysMan Club is a group which is a men's suicide prevention charity, dedicated to ending the stigma surrounding men's mental health through the power of conversation, and they hold their meetings at Central Park.
As facilitators, they give their time to support countless men within the Central Fife community community, and the club's new commercial director, Graham Lyons, said that it was fantastic to have the chance to welcome James Scade, Michael Rankin, John Rankin and Shaun Butterfield, from the group, to Central Park, to get their hands the club's new home kit which proudly features ANDYSMANCLUB on the back of the shirt.
They took the opportunity to get some pics taken at Central Park, where they also have a pitch side board.
Graham said: “Offering free, confidential, peer to peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online, ANDYSMANCLUB provides a safe, non judgemental environment where men can talk openly about whatever is on their mind.
"Their message is simple but powerful: #ITSOKAYTOTALK.
“As a club, this is a cause particularly close to our hearts, with several volunteers, stewards, supporters and individuals connected to Cowdenbeath FC, actively involved with or benefiting from the fantastic work carried out by #ANDYSMANCLUB.
“We are incredibly proud to have them as a partner of the football club and to help raise awareness of the vital support they provide within our community and beyond.”
James opened the Cowdenbeath branch four years ago and commented: “We’ve had just under 3,500 men through our doors in that time and average about 20 guys every Monday at our sessions.
“The club meets every Monday, excluding bank holidays, and we make other arrangements for those so no one needs to miss out on engagement, with sessions at the Maxwell Centre, on Stenhouse Street.
“The club itself is part of the ANDYSMANCLUB charity, which is tasked with ending the stigma around men’s mental health, and does so by providing guys a safe space to open up on a Monday night and get all of their issues off their chest.
“We are excited to partner with Cowdenbeath FC and showing the community spirit of supporting each other for the benefit of all the people in the area!”
