A £7.5m investment in a St Andrews hotel has seen the creation of more than 30 jobs.
The changes have been taking place at the Kithmore Hotel on Playfair Terrace which was formerly the Ardgowan Hotel.
An application for a major variation of the premise’s licence was approved by Fife Licensing Board on Monday.
Board members were told that the had been “substantial renovation and changes” to the existing building after a £7.5m investment which had seen 36 jobs created.

A representative for the hotel added: “The work has taken around two years and have breathed new life in to the premises.
“As a result, it has moved from a three star to a four star hotel.”
The licensing board agreed unanimously to approve the licence variation application.
