Fife Council has issued a temporary order closing part of Foulford Road to traffic from Monday July 1 to Saturday August 17, or until the works are finished.
The affected stretch runs between the junctions with High Street and Hill Street, close to Beath High School, and the works have been scheduled for the school summer holidays.

Traffic will be diverted via Hill Street, Foulford Street and High Street while the closure is in place. Access for emergency services, residents and pedestrians will be maintained.
The council says the road needs to be shut “to allow utility works to be carried out in safety”.
Anyone with questions about the closure is asked to contact the Traffic Management, Roads & Transportation Service at Bankhead Central in Glenrothes or email traffic.management@fife.gov.uk.
