Fife Council to work on Foulford Road in Cowdenbeath

A MAIN route through Cowdenbeath will be closed for seven weeks for utility works.

Fife Council's notice states that part of Foulford Road will be shut to traffic from 8am on Wednesday July 1 to 5pm on Monday August 17.

The affected section is from the junction with High Street to the junction with Hill Street.

Beath High is just off Foulford Road and the works have been scheduled to take place over the school summer holidays.

Traffic will be diverted via Hill Street, Foulford Street and High Street.

Access for emergency services, residents and pedestrians will be maintained.

The notice said the road closure was necessary "to allow utility works to be carried out in safety".
