A Cowdenbeath woman was caught drug-driving after being stopped for speeding.
Susan Miller, 32, of Blamey Crescent, appeared for sentencing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on December 8 on the B920 near Lochgelly, she drove a car while over the limit. Her reading was 5.9 microgrammes of Delta 9-THC per litre of blood, the limit being 2 microgrammes.
The court was told Miller was stopped by police for speeding at just after 10am.
When officers spoke to Miller, they could smell cannabis and she failed a drugs test.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said his client is a single parent and is on benefits.
He said she had issues which meant she struggled to leave the house without taking cannabis at that time.
Sheriff Nigel Cooke imposed a £520 fine and a one-year ban.
