NINE Cowdenbeath rotarians, and well wishers, participated in a walk from Kelty to Kinglassie to raise funds for a leading charity.
Fife Young Carers are the beneficiaries of the funds raised by the trek, which covered the entire length of the Fife Pilgrims' Way, from Culross to St Andrews.
Rotarians and participants from rotary clubs across the Kingdom walked the other sections of the 64 mile route at the same time on Sunday May 31.
Cowdenbeath Rotary Club president, Craig Bennet, was one of the walkers and he said: “Currently all the rotary clubs in Fife have raised more than £4,000 from the walk for the Fife Young Carers Association and more monies are due to be received in the next fortnight.
“Fife Young Carers is a charity which strives to help and represent children and young people under the age of 25, living with their parents or other adults who for whatever reason are unable to look after themselves.
“Fife Pilgrims' Way is an historic route tred by pre- Reformation Pilgrims, from Culross and North Queensferry to St Andrews.
“Cowdenbeath Rotary Club extends its thanks to Rotarian Ronnie Campbell for leading the club in its latest charitable venture.”
