A 56-year-old man has been jailed for mistreating and sexually abusing two girls.
Paul Annal, of Ewing Street, Cowdenbeath, was found guilty after a trial at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
When he returned for sentencing, he was jailed for ten months.
He was convicted of five separate charges by Sheriff Mark Allan.
Between January 1, 2008 and July 10, 2017, Annal wilfully mistreated a girl, then aged six years upwards. On repeated occasions, he shouted, swore, acted aggressively towards her, struck her on the head, walked behind her and kicked her and pushed her against a wall.
Between August 22, 2006 and August 22, 2019, he wilfully mistreated a second girl, then aged three years upwards, in the same manner.
Between January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2024, he sexually assaulted one of the girls, who was then aged eleven years upwards.
On repeated occasions between March 2020 and August 2021 he sexually assaulted the other girl.
Finally, on an occasion between January 1, and December 31, 2023, he struck a car window with a hammer whereby one of the females was struck on the head by the smashed glass.
