Viewfield Terrace and Lumphinnans Road are set to be resurfaced as part of a project running from Monday, June 8, to Friday, July 17, to improve road quality and address early signs of deterioration.
Both roads are main routes through the village, linking it to Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly.
Councillor Alex Campbell, convener of the Cowdenbeath Area Committee, said: "By carrying out this work now, we can take care of early signs of wear before they become bigger problems, helping to keep disruption to a minimum in the long run.
"We’re really grateful for the patience and understanding of everyone affected while these important improvements are carried out."
The works are expected to cause some delays, and drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
To help manage traffic during the resurfacing, Sunnyside Place will be closed from the week beginning June 22, with vehicles diverted to the main road via Small Street and Motion Street.
Temporary traffic lights will also be in place, along with some on-street parking restrictions.
The council say access will be maintained for emergency services, businesses, and residents wherever possible, and that all planned works are subject to weather conditions.
