Passengers are now able to get a train directly from Central Fife to Leven on Sundays.

It’s the result of the service that previously terminated at Glenrothes being extended.

Cowdenbeath will be served once an hour, along with Lochgelly and Cardenden.

ScotRail’s Service Delivery Director, Mark Ilderton said: “These additional services will provide customers with more choice and flexibility, helping more people travel by rail for leisure, events, and days out.

“Customers should check their regular journeys before travelling, as some train times may have changed.”

Trains on the line already ran through the rest of the week between Edinburgh Waverley and Leven, but not on Sundays.
