COWDENBEATH Rotary Club's bid to have three defibrillators available around the clock in local communities should be in place within a few weeks.
Thursday's meeting heard from president, Craig Bennet, that the life-saving machines were purchased and are ready to be fitted.
In Cowdenbeath, the defib for the town will be sited outside Moorelands Travel, at the north end of High Street, while in Ballingry the Benarty Community Shop will be the host.
Craig said: “We have the machines, thanks to the generosity of the local community who backed our duck race at Lochore Meadows last September, and also the Mossmorran Windfarm Community Trust, which raised the money to purchase these.
“We hope to have the Lochgelly base for the machine for the northern part of the town arranged within a few weeks, and then these can all be fitted.”
