A fundraiser will take place in Hill of Beath to help a sister and brother climb Mount Kilimanjaro for a good cause.
Melissa and John Agnew, 19 and 28 respectively, are preparing to set off to tackle Africa’s highest mountain to support Dig Deep.
It's a charity which works hand in hand with local communities in Kenya to make sure they have clean water.
They work in Bomet County which is home to a million people and is one of the least resourced areas of the country.
More than half the people who stay there do not have access to safe toilets.
Melissa is currently a student at the University of St Andrews and John works at a concrete works in Cowdenbeath.
She told the Press: “I was at university in first year and an email came round asking if we wanted to do a once in a lifetime climb up Kilimanjaro and I was like, 'You know what, I would do that'.
“I texted my brother John and he didn't even think about it, he was just like, ‘Yeah, I'll be there!'
“I wanted to do it just for the climb. We're both pretty excited."
Their mum, Claire, had also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro back in 2014.
The siblings are doing some fundraisers ahead of their climb to raise money for Dig Deep and to cover the costs of the climb.
They have one fundraising race night at Hill of Beath Ex-Servicemen’s Club on May 30 from 6pm onwards.
Melissa and John are aiming to raise £3,000 in total for their climb, which they will leave for on August 14.
