Lochgelly Golf Club held its annual memorial competition for late champion Allan Brannigan on Sunday afternoon.
Dozens of players turned out to pay tribute to the talented sportsman, who took his own life in October 2023 at the age of 60.
Allan grew up in Lochgelly before moving to Cowdenbeath later in life. He was also an accomplished boxer, and ran for the Pitreavie Harriers.
The weekend’s event was mixed, with men, women, and juniors taking part. Member Brad McKenzie took home the trophy this year with a score of 38, and attendees described it as a “fantastic day”.
Allan’s sister, Andreen Westwood said: “It was mobbed, and we raised £320 for Andy's Man Club which will be doubled by eBay, where my son-in-law works.
“Everyone had a great time, and they’re putting their names down for next year because we actually had a reserve list.”
Attendees shared memories of a “popular and larger than life character”, who is sorely missed by all at the club.
Andreen added: “Pamela Davie and James Davie put on fantastic entertainment, we already have them booked for next year.”
The family thanked all involved with putting on the event, and those who donated generously.
