A long-running road closure on the B9097 between Ballingry and Cardenden has been extended by two weeks.
The route was originally due to reopen last week on Friday, April 24, after a three-month shutdown, but the closure has now been continued into early May.
It affects the stretch of road between the junction with the B920, north of Ballingry, and the junction with the B921, north of Cardenden.
When the closure was first announced in January, Fife Council said the road would shut from January 29 to allow essential utility works to be carried out safely.
During the closure, through traffic has been diverted via the B921, B981 and B920.
Access for emergency services and residents is being maintained, while pedestrian access remains open. On-site staff are also available to advise drivers.
At the time of the original notice, the council said the closure was necessary to ensure the safety of workers and the public while the utility works are carried out.
