A Lochgelly road is set to close overnight next month to allow rail bridge inspection works to be carried out in safety, with drivers facing a massive diversion while the route is shut.
The closure will affect Station Road at the rail bridge, for a distance of 80 metres either side of the bridge. It will be in place from 11.45pm on May 6 until 5am on May 7, or until earlier completion of the works.
During that period, traffic will be sent on an extensive alternative route via Longview, Main Street, B9097, B921 and B981. Access for emergency services, residents’ vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained throughout the closure.

The works are being carried out by Coneworx Ltd, who are responsible for the traffic management. They can be contacted on 01698 862 888.
