A student who left school early is now being recognised for her high standards of work and determination.
Hannah Levack, from Kinglassie, is one of nine students to receive Fife College’s Principal’s Scholarship for the 2025/26 academic year, which celebrates commitment, resilience, and academic progress.
Ms Levack began her studies at the college at just 15 and is now studying HND 3D Interior Design.
Ms Levack said: "I feel incredibly grateful to have received this award, it truly means so much to me.
"It’s a reminder that all the hard work really does pay off.
"As I continue to work towards my career through university and work experience, I believe this achievement will play a valuable role in helping me move into the industry.
"I would like to thank my lecturers and peers for their support and encouragement, which have helped me grow and reach this stage."
The Principal’s Scholarship awards £500 to each winner and recognises students across the college’s three academic schools.
Jim Metcalfe, principal of Fife College, said: "This fantastic group of Principal’s Scholarship winners represent the very best of our college community.
"I was delighted to spend time with them at the recent presentation of awards and hear more about their future plans.
"These are students who have gone the extra mile to succeed and to contribute to our college community.
"We are incredibly proud of the positive contribution they make to Fife College every day.
"We are thrilled to support them as they continue their learning journey and work towards bright and successful futures."
The scholarship aims to help recipients achieve their ambitions by providing funds for essential resources, specialist equipment, and other opportunities to strengthen their education and career prospects.
Winners were nominated by staff in recognition of their academic achievement, perseverance, and positive influence within the college community.
Many have overcome personal challenges while continuing to excel in their studies and motivate others.
Ms Levack has been praised for producing some of the highest-quality work the course has seen in recent years.
The scholarship will help her continue her journey into higher education and the design industry.
