A marathon runner is taking on one of the world’s most famous races in support of victims of crime.
Rachel Duncan, 24, from Lochgelly, will lace up her trainers for the London Marathon next month, to raise money for Victim Support Scotland (VSS).
Ms Duncan, who has been a volunteer with the charity for three years, said: "I am running The London Marathon for VSS as I have been a volunteer with them for the last three years now.
"Running has been a big part of my life for the last two years, and when the opportunity arose to run London Marathon while raising money for VSS I knew I had to do it."
She supports people who have experienced crime, offering emotional and practical guidance through the justice process, including help during court trials.
Fresh from completing a master’s degree in forensic psychology, Ms Duncan hopes to raise £2,500 for the charity.

She said: "What inspires me is that, being a volunteer myself, I see first-hand how VSS supports vulnerable people in times of crisis and distress, and I know how much this fundraising will help to provide this continued support.
"I support people week in and out who really value our organisation and the work it does.
"Running the London Marathon means the absolute world to me – to be able to run my first world major marathon at just 24 years old is amazing.
"Running has really helped with not only my physical health but my mental health too, and I cannot wait to complete this challenge."
