New speed limits are set to roll into Lochore, Crosshill and Glencraig next month as Fife Council moves to slow drivers down on key village routes.
Once it comes into force on April 1, a string of Benarty roads will be covered by fresh limits aimed at making streets safer for residents, schoolchildren and local businesses.
Under the order, the B920 Main Road/Main Street/Lochleven Road through Lochore will become a 20mph zone from a point 110 metres south of Manse Road to 20 metres north of New Flockhouse – a stretch of around 1.1 miles.
Balbedie Court in Lochore and Mucklestane Court in Crosshill will also drop to 20mph for their entire lengths.
Meanwhile, a 30mph limit will apply on the B920 between Glencraig and Lochgelly, starting 110 metres south of Manse Road and running for just over 1.1km, while B920 Lochleven Road at Ballingry will be 30mph from just north of New Flockhouse to a point 231 metres northeast of Hill Road.
