Cowdenbeath's new premier shop has opened its doors on Dalbeath Crescent after the Co-op left last month.
The new shop is owned by Kimberly McIntyre, 31, who also owns another store on Station Road in Oakley, which she opened at just 23 years old.
After the co-op's departure at the end of February, Kimberly worked hard to get the new shop customer-ready and replaced lighting, chillers, the till area and the bakery counters.
She said: "We took over on March 3, the Co-op closed, and we took their stuff out and opened just a few days later."
She says the shop is maintaining the popular stock of Stephen's bakery items, but has added some new services within the shop.
"We're now doing hot rolls, soup, and we added a Costa Coffee machine, the brand new one that does iced drinks. That's been a hit so far, it's weird how many people have been getting iced drinks in this weather! "she said.
So far, business has been good, and Kimberly has been enjoying working with the staff, who were retained from the Co-op.
"We kept all the staff, and they say that it's a great change. The prices are better, and customers say that the range is good. This store is massive, it feels like a supermarket!" she joked.
In the coming weeks, Kimberly will be soon introducing an external ATM and parcel drop-off to add to the shop's services.
