A Beath High School pupil has been given a place at a prestigious summer school in New York.
Noah Brotherton, 15, will be jetting off to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy’s (AMDA) summer school in the performing arts.
He previously released a single in aid of Andy’s Man Club and was also commended at the Dunfermline Press Community Champion Awards in 2023.
Gayle Cook, Noah’s mum, told the Times: “He will be doing intensive performing arts training by Broadway professionals, audition prep, then more auditions for university placements.
“They also take them on excursions to Broadway shows, yoga in Central Park, museums etc.
“He is so excited, he’s over the moon to have been successful in gaining a place.”
Noah currently attends the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland as a junior student in musical theatre.
It was here that the AMDA team came to carry out auditions. During the process, Noah had to sing a musical theatre song and deliver a monologue to the audition panel.
He then received a telephone call from New York from AMDA with an interview. After this he found out that he had been accepted.
Noah will now attend the summer programme each summer until he leaves school.
