THE Cowdenbeath Area Community Association Junior Youth Club had a very special visitor on Friday night.
Councillor Alex Campbell arrived to hand over a grant for £5,000.
He's the chair of the Cowdenbeath area committee and told the youngsters how impressed they are with the work of the youth club, and the team who guide it.
CACA's Alex Haddow said it was an important boost to everyone connected with the organisation.
“With 158 kids in on Friday night it was great to see Cllr Campbell come to meet with them and also the people who make the youth club work,” he said.
“There was big thank-you from all at the youth club to the area committee“
Alex added: "The donation of £5,000 is to cover the coaches that are employed at the club for 2026-2027 session.
“This ensures the club can provide the cover it needs to run the Friday night activities 6pm to 8pm at Beath High School every week.
“This provides the facilities where local youngsters are allowed to be kids, meet up with friends and also make new ones on a regular basis”.
