A food festival is set to return with a packed line-up of flavours, fun, and foodie experiences as it marks a 'major' milestone year.
Fife College’s Food and Drink Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary on March 14 at the Kirkcaldy Campus from 10am to 3pm.
The event will showcase the best of the region’s food and drink scene and highlight the rising talent within the industry.
Adam Fairweather, Head of School - Business, Digital and Creative at Fife College, said: "We’re incredibly proud to celebrate ten years of the Fife College Food and Drink Festival at our Kirkcaldy Campus.
"Over the past decade, the event has grown into a real highlight in Fife’s food and drink calendar, showcasing not only the exceptional talent and creativity of our students but also the strength and diversity of our local producers.
"This special anniversary year promises to be our biggest and most exciting yet.
"With live demonstrations from top chefs, hands-on workshops, family activities and fantastic local food and drink, there truly is something for everyone.
"The festival is a wonderful opportunity to bring together our students, staff, partners and the wider community to celebrate skills, innovation and collaboration – and we look forward to welcoming visitors old and new to join us."
The event forms part of Fife Food and Drink Week, which runs from March 7 to 15, and will include more than 25 stalls.
These will represent a mix of local producers and street food favourites, alongside a full programme of chef demonstrations.
Among the chefs taking part are Jamie Scott, winner of BBC’s MasterChef: The Professionals and now a lecturer at the college, and Lewis Mendies of BaxterStorey.

Their demonstrations will highlight the creativity and expertise nurtured within the college’s Culinary Arts, Hospitality and Events department.
Colin McPhail, a lecturer and owner of The Baker’s Apprentice on Kirkcaldy High Street, has created a special commemorative cake with support from the College’s Bakery students.
As Fife College’s catering partner, BaxterStorey will be serving up dishes and supporting the event’s food offerings alongside other vendors.
Visitors will also have the chance to take part in a variety of interactive workshops throughout the day.
Highlights include a whisky masterclass with Kingsbarns Distillery, cider tasting with Naughton Cider, and wine tasting sessions with Krafty Wines and Carin o' Mhor.
There will also be a cocktail-making workshop featuring a bespoke cocktail created by the College to mark the 250th anniversary of the publication of Adam Smith’s 'An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations'.
Food lovers will also have the option to enjoy small plates at The Academy, the college’s student-run training restaurant, as well as from a selection of food trucks.
Tables at The Academy can be booked online atwww.fife.ac.uk/campuses-facilities/the-academy-restaurant-kirkcaldy.
The festival is designed to be family-friendly, with children’s cookery workshops, face-painting and outdoor activities planned.
